Vol. 306 No. 1

Written Answers. - Corporation Contracts.

274.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will undertake a review of the law relating to corporation contracts in accordance with a memorandum (details supplied) prepared by a sub-committee of local authority solicitors.

This is the first intimation I have had of the existence of the memorandum referred to by the Deputy. Its recommendations have implications for all statutory bodies and any examination of the matter, therefore, could not be carried out by my Department on their own. The Department, however, will take note of the memorandum in so far as it relates to local authorities.
