Vol. 306 No. 1

Written Answers. - Donegal Water Supply Scheme.

276.

asked the Minister for the Environment the cause of the delay in sanctioning Dunmore Upper group water supply scheme, County Donegal, which was submitted to his Department on 27 March 1978; and if he is aware of the extreme need in the area for this essential service.

Donegal County Council submitted design details, costings, and grant application forms for the Dunmore Upper Group Scheme to my Department on 28 March 1978, together with a proposal for the granting of a special subvention of £5,000 to the group over and above the normal grants. However, the council revised the amount of special subvention proposed to £7,400 by letter dated 19 April 1978. My Department have asked the council to supply additional information in relation to the subvention proposal. When this information is received, a decision in the matter will be made.
