Vol. 306 No. 1

Written Answers. - Drogheda House Repairs.

278.

andMr. Donegan asked the Minister for the Environment when he received a submission from Drogheda Corporation, County Louth, for repairs to houses at St. Finian's Park, Drogheda, County Louth; the proposed works involved; and when he expects to give a decision on the arrangements for financing the proposed works.

Detailed proposals for certain remedial and improvement works to houses in St. Finian's Park, Drogheda, were received in my Department on 8 February 1978. The proposed remedial works consist of the correction of floor deflection, corrective works to ceiling joists, roofing timbers, roof partitions, door frames and guttering and the relocation of extractor fans, and cold water tanks. The proposed improvement works include improvement of insulation and various modifications to front and rear screen walls, windows and doors.

I understand that arbitration proceedings under the contract are pending and no decision on the financing of remedial works can be made by me until the outcome of this arbitration is known.
