Written Answers. - Rateable Valuation of Buildings.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will indicate, for each local rating authority the following information: (1) the number of dwellings which could be described as domestic hereditaments; (2) the total rateable valuation of all dwellings so described; (3) the number of dwellings which could be described as a "mixed" hereditament, and the estimated total rateable valuation of all such dwellings; (4) the number of community halls, which are not mainly used for profit, and are open to the local community, and the total rateable valuation of such halls; (5) the number of farm buildings, as defined within the meaning of the various Valuation Acts, which were built before March 1959 and the total rateable valuation of all such farm buildings; and (6) the number of secondary schools recognised by the Minister for Education, excluding such schools which may at present be exempted from paying rates, and the total rateable valuation of all such secondary schools.

As regards (1), (2) and (3) of the question, the information sought is being compiled in my Department and will be sent to the Deputy as soon as possible. The information requested at (4), (5) and (6) is not available in my Department.
