Vol. 306 No. 6

Written Answers. - County Dublin CRV Application.

161.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will state, in relation to a house (details supplied) in County Dublin, (a) the number of applications made by the builder for a CRV; (b) the date of each application; and (c) the amount specified in each such application for (i) the purchase price of the house, and (ii) the purchase price of carpets, drapes, etc.

The original application for a certificate of reasonable value in respect of this and other houses was dated 21 July 1975 and quoted a price of £13,500, which was approved. An application dated 3 February 1976 for a revised certificate which sought approval to a price of £14,825 was rejected. A further application at a price of £13,570 dated 20 December 1977 resulted in the issue of a revised certificate at that price. The approved price did not include any allowance for showhouse items such as carpets, drapes, and so on which is a matter for settlement between the vendor and the purchaser.
