Vol. 307 No. 4

Written Answers . - Offaly School Transport .

117.

asked the Minister for Education if he will provide school transport to Killina secondary school, Rahan, County Offaly, from the following areas, Fingerboard and Mucklagh, Pullough and Ballina/ Ballycumber, County Offaly.

: The information available to me is that children living in Fingerboard are less than three miles from Tullamore post-primary centre. They do not therefore qualify for free transport.

A transport service to Killina will be provided for pupils from Mucklagh as from September 1978, provided at least seven eligible pupils apply.

Pullough is in the Ferbane catchment area and pupils in this area are eligible for free transport to Ferbane. They may avail themselves of catchment boundary facilities to Killina if they so wish.

Ballina and Ballycumber are in the Clara catchment area. Pupils here are eligible for free transport to Clara but may avail themselves of catchment boundary facilities to Killina if they so wish.
