: I am satisfied that land reclamation is now progressing satisfactorily. I also believe, however, that there is scope for accelerating drainage and reclamation work in many areas. I expect that the recent EEC decision to provide financial assistance towards land drainage in the west of Ireland will provide a particular stimulus towards increased activity in that area. With regard to the second part of the question, comparative figures with other EEC countries are not available.
