asked the Minister for Justice the number of gardaí stationed in (1) Waterford city; (2) County Waterford, by each Garda sub-district, for 1970, 1974 and 1977; and if he intends to increase the Garda strength in these areas.

The Commissioner has informed me that eleven extra gardaí have been allocated to Waterford city and county since last November and arrangements have been made to assign four more gardaí to Waterford Division on 16 June.
