Road Traffic (Amendment) Bill, 1978: Motion to Discharge Order for Second Stage .

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Barrett)

: I move:

That the order for the Second Stage of the Road Traffic (Amendment) Bill, 1978 be discharged and that the House give leave for the Bill to be withdrawn.

It is now proposed to introduce the Bill in the Seanad at the earliest possible opportunity.

: Are there any prospects of its being brought back to the Dáil in due course?

Mr. Barrett

: It is expected that the Second Stage will be moved in the Seanad next week so I cannot say what the prospects are at this stage.
