: I assume that the Deputy's question relates to employment in manufacturing industries.
I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority and the Shannon Free Airport Development Company Limited that the following number of additional new jobs in manufacturing industry are expected to be created during the remainder of 1978 in projects, for which grant assistance has already been approved, in the areas specified: (a) Limerick City and County, 300; (b) Ennis, 55; (c) Shannon, 186; (d) Kilrush, none.
These figures do not of course include non-manufacturing jobs to be created during the period in question and relate only to those already approved.
