: (a) one; (b) 50; (c) June, 1975; (d) Next year; (e) Yes, when cabling is available.

191.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the unsatisfactory postal service in the Castletown Estate areas of Leixlip and Celbridge, County Kildare, where post is not delivered until the afternoon; and the steps he intends to take to give the residents of those areas a reasonable postal service.

: Postal deliveries in the areas in question have been running somewhat later than normal. This is mainly due in the case of the Leixlip area mentioned to a new postman being unfamiliar with the area, a position which should rectify itself shortly. In the other area it is largely because of unsatisfactory house numbering, the correction of which is, I understand, having the attention of the residents concerned. Continued housing growth is also a factor and in the light of it a review of delivery arrangements is at present being carried out with a view to improving delivery times where practicable.
