Vol. 313 No. 11

Written Answers. - Dún Laoghaire Community Care Centre.

278.

asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the need for a community care centre at Dún Laoghaire and the action it is proposed to take to locate a centre there.

I presume that the Deputy is referring to the need to provide adequate headquarters accommodation in Dún Laoghaire for staff in the Dún Laoghaire/South East County Dublin community care area.

Provision has been included in the major capital programme for the current year for the extension of the existing community care headquarters accommodation in Dún Laoghaire and detailed proposals from the Eastern Health Board in the matter are awaited.

I understand that the board are having the feasibility of providing a third storey extension to Our Lady's clinic examined as a matter of urgency.
