Vol. 313 No. 11

Written Answers. - Telephone Service.

291.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will arrange to have a telephone provided for a person (details supplied) who needs it urgently.

Service cannot be provided at present because of a shortage of equipment at the local telephone exchange. It is expected that a new exchange will be installed towards the end of this year and the applicant concerned will be given service shortly after that.

292.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when the telephone kiosk proposed for Lisserlough post office, Boyle, will be erected.

There are no plans at present to erect a telephone kiosk at this location as provision of one there is not regarded as warranted.
