Written Answers. - Petroleum Price Increases.

296.

asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Energy (a) the date or dates on which the National Prices Commission received the applications for price increases in petroleum products in respect of which the Minister ultimately made the Maximum Prices (Petroleum Products) (No. 2) Order, 1979; (b) the date on which the commission's recommendations on those applications were submitted to him.

Applications submitted by the Irish oil companies for increases in the prices of their petroleum products were received in the Prices Division of my Department on various dates between 20 March 1979 and 9 April 1979 and were considered by the National Prices Commission at their meetings on 10 and 12 April 1979. The commission notified me on 12 April 1979 of their recommendations on the companies' applications.
