Vol. 314 No. 8

Written Answers. - County Dublin Dairy Extension.

233.

asked the Minister for the Environment the up-to-date position regarding the proposed extension of the Hughes Brothers Dairy in Churchtown, Dublin.

I understand from Dublin Corporation that an application was lodged in August 1978 for planning permission to erect an extension and carry out alterations to the dairy at Whitehall Road, Rathfarnham, and that a decision was made on 30 March 1979 to grant permission, subject to conditions, for the development. I understand that an appeal against the decision was lodged with An Bord Pleanála by a number of local residents and that the appeal is under consideration. Responsibility for adjudicating on appeals arising under the Local Government (Planning and Development) Acts, 1963 and 1976 is entirely a matter for An Bord Pleanála. I have no function in the matter.
