Vol. 314 No. 10

Written Answers. - Meath Factory.

223.

asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Energy in relation to a proposed IDA-assisted factory at Drumconrath, Navan, County Meath: (a) the grant paid for the site, (b) the date it was acquired and the date negotiations began, (c) the name of the firm concerned and the date negotiations with them began and (d) if the IDA were wholly or mainly responsible for bringing the industry to Drumconrath.

I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that they do not own an industrial site or factory in Drumconrath, County Meath, nor have they any immediate plans to acquire land in the area. Meath County Council, however, owns a 3.5 acre site in Drumconrath which has been promoted by both Meath County Council and the IDA.
