Vol. 314 No. 10

Written Answers. - North County Dublin Park

242.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he is aware of the need to extend the present facilities of Cara Park in North County Dublin and if he would consider providing extra space for the park which is available at that site.

I am informed by Dublin Corporation that there are 37 four-roomed chalets at this site. Each chalet contains a bathroom and there is a large well-appointed community hall on the site. Work will be put in hands shortly to refurbish all chalets in need of repair while a comprehensive landscaping programme to provide additional facilities will also be undertaken.

It is expected that re-letting of vacant chalets which are now being refurbished will considerably relieve the situation in the adjoining area.

The question of providing extra space for the park is a matter for Dublin Corporation having regard, inter alia, to the need to keep the development to a manageable scale.
