Vol. 314 No. 11

Written Answers. - IRA Pension Withdrawal.

147.

asked the Minister for Defence why an IRA pension was withdrawn from a person (details supplied).

The case referred to by the Deputy was reinvestigated to determine the applicant's further entitlement to a special allowance under the terms of the Army Pensions Acts from 1 February 1978. It was found, however, that his means were in excess of the appropriate annual sum, and he was not, therefore, entitled to a further award of special allowance.
