Vol. 315 No. 11

Written Answers. - Pay-Related Benefit.

131.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the reasons for delay in the payment of pay-related benefit to employees at Roscrea Meats Factory, County Tipperary who were laid off in February this year.

According to the records of my Department the majority of the claimants referred to by the Deputy received pay-related benefit without delay with their flat rate unemployment benefit. However, due to the recent difficulties in communications a small number of cases in which further enquiries were necessary still remain to be determined.

Arrangements have been made to have these remaining cases finalised as soon as possible.
