asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the number of applicants awaiting telephone service in the Carriglae, Carrigwood, Knocklyon, Knocklaire, and Tymon Heights Estates, Firhouse, County Dublin, and when service will be provided.

The information regarding the areas mentioned is as follows:

Cable to provide service to 20 applicants is expected to be available in the first half of next year and for the remainder in a further 6 months or so.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the number of applicants awaiting telephone service in the Springfield and Belgard Heights Estates, Tallaght, County Dublin, and when the service will be provided.

There are 17 waiting applicants in the Springfield Estate and 53 in Belgard Heights Estate. Service will be provided on completion of necessary cabling works which is expected in late 1980 (Springfield) and mid-1980 (Belgard Heights).

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if cabling work has commenced in the Monalea Estate, Firhouse, County Dublin, and if this work is being carried out by a private contractor.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the number of applicants awaiting telephone service in the Monalea Estate, Firhouse, County Dublin, and when service will be provided.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 137 and 138 together.

The number of waiting applicants is 130. Service will be provided early next year when the necessary cabling and joining work, to be undertaken by the Post Office staff, has been completed.
