Vol. 315 No. 13

Written Answers. - Non-payment of IRA Pension.

129.

asked the Minister for Defence the reason the £2.00 per week allowance of IRA pension, being paid to a person (details supplied) ceased some time ago and if in view of the circumstances this payment will be resumed.

Payment of the special allowance under the Army Pensions Acts was discontinued in the case referred to by the Deputy because the person's means, on the last review in October 1978, exceeded the prescribed annual sum.

I will arrange to have the case reexamined in the light of this person's current means and I will notify the Deputy of the outcome.
