The percentage of full-time students in the university colleges who were holders of higher education grants under schemes controlled by my Department for each academic year since 1974/75 to 1977/78 (the latest figure available in my Department) was as follows: 1974/75, 27.5%; 1975/76, 27.2%; 1976/77, 26.1%; 1977/78, 23.8%.
