asked the Minister for Education the names of the eleven schools at which the provision of gymnasia have been approved and the number of requests for gymnasia under consideration.

The schools at which I have approved the provision of physical education facilities are as follows: The Donahies Community School, Dublin; Birr Community School; Springfield Community School, Tallaght; Old Bawn Community School, Co. Dublin; Bishopstown Community School, Cork; Lisduggan Vocational School, Waterford; Moneenageisha Vocational School, Galway; Knocknaheeny Vocational School, Cork; Monaghan Vocational School; Ringsend Vocational School, Dublin; Donegal Town Vocational School.

Requests for the provision of halls are under consideration from approximately 60 schools.

asked the Minister for Education if a gymnasium will be provided at the new vocational school in Navan, County Meath.

The question of a capital allocation for the provision of physical education facilities at the new vocational school in Navan is still under consideration.

A decision in the matter will be conveyed to Meath Vocational Education Committee in due course.
