Vol. 315 No. 16

Written Answers. - Clontarf (Dublin) Telephone Service.

106.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the difficulties being caused to residents of Castle Court, Howth Road, Clontarf, Dublin 3, by virtue of not being able to obtain telephone service; if these applicants will be given priority and the likely date service will be provided.

Service will be provided for waiting applicants in the estate as soon as possible after the necessary cable becomes available in about six months. I regret any inconvenience caused by the lack of telephone service meanwhile but in relation to numerous other groups of waiting applicants in similar circumstances there are not sufficient grounds for according priority.
