Vol. 316 No. 5

Written Answers. - Telephone Service.

328.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will have a telephone service provided in St. Vincent's, North William Street, Dublin 1 to assist the work of the family support centre there and if he will give urgent priority to this case.

There are two applications on hands for telephone service at the address in question. Only one line can be provided at present and arrangements are being made to instal the telephone. Provision of the second line is dependent on a cabling scheme which is unlikely to be carried out before the end of next year.

329.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when telephone service will be provided for an applicant (details supplied) in Dublin who is disabled and if priority will be given to this case.

This priority application cannot, I regret, be dealt with pending completion of a cabling scheme which is unlikely to be undertaken for at least another year.
