My Department are looking into the question of carrying out improvements at Ahakista Pier, County Cork, in the light of the extent of fishing activity from this landing place. It is expected that this investigation will be completed soon and, until it is, I will not be in a position to say what improvements, if any, will be carried out there in the fisheries interest with the help of a State grant.
