Vol. 317 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - AnCO Training Centres.

10.

asked the Minister for Labour the cost of transferring the AnCO training centre from Kildare to Newbridge, County Kildare.

There was an expenditure of £5,175 on preparing the premises in Newbridge and £1,000 on removing equipment from Kildare.

11.

asked the Minister for Labour if he will outline the difficulties being encountered in establishing an AnCO training centre in the Dublin inner-city area and when work on this training centre will commence.

In the Dublin inner city area AnCO at present operates a training centre at Beresford Place. It has also established special training units, and arranged training courses under its auspices, in a number of locations in the inner city area. The main difficulty in establishing a new permanent training centre is finding a suitable premises or site. I am hopeful that a suitable site can be purchased shortly.
