Vol. 317 No. 9

Written Answers. - Animals from Greece.

282.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the protection afforded by the provisions of the Greek Treaty of Accession to the EC against imports to Ireland from Greece of animals from areas in which foot and mouth disease has been prevalent.

The rights which Ireland at present enjoys to use national laws to control imports of certain animals and meat as a protection against the introduction of foot-and-mouth disease will also apply to imports from Greece.
