Vol. 317 No. 9

Written Answers. - Tax Free Allowance Certificate.

349.

asked the Minister for Finance the reason a person (details supplied) has received no certificate of tax-free allowance to date from the Revenue Commissioners despite several communications and several calls to the income tax office and if this certificate will be issued in the near future.

A return of income for the current year was signed by the person referred to, on 7 September 1979 and a certificate of tax-free allowances has now been issued. The delay in dealing with the return was due to pressure of work in the aftermath of the postal dispute.
