asked the Minister for Education the proposed expenditure on extensions to schools and new schools in respect of (a) Waterford city, (b) Waterford county and if he will make a comprehensive statement on the proposed locations of such expenditure and the objectives hoped to be achieved by such expenditure in the years 1980, 1981 and 1982.

The proposed expenditure in the three years 1980, 1981, and 1982 on primary school projects (extensions and new schools) in the Waterford area are expected to be as follows:

1. Waterford City

£1,070,000

2. Waterford County

£2,796,000

The proposed locations of the projects and their objectives are as follows:

New school of 8 classrooms

St Martin's Special School

New school of 4 classrooms

St. Declan's N.S.

Extension scheme to provide a total of 12 classrooms and general purposes room.

St. Joseph's Special School

Extension scheme to provide 9 classrooms and general purposes room.

Waterford County

Ballycarmane

New school of 8 classrooms

Butlerstown

New school of 8 classrooms

Tullow Central

New school of 8 classrooms

Dunmore East Convent

New school of 6 classrooms

Portlaw Boys

New school of 4 classrooms

Portlaw Convent

New school of 6 classrooms

Kill

Extension scheme to provide a total of 4 classrooms

Modeligo

Extension scheme to provide a total of 3 classrooms
