Vol. 317 No. 9

Written Answers. - Lusk (County Dublin) New School.

105.

asked the Minister for Education the progress made to date on the construction of the planned secure unit at Lusk, County Dublin promised by the Minister for Justice in 1978, if a director has been appointed for this unit, and the progress made on the recruitment and training of staff for same and when this unit will be ready to replace Loughan House as promised.

The detailed planning of this new school is at present in progress. It is expected that building will commence in the summer of 1980 and that work will be completed in the autumn of 1981.

The appointment of a director and staff for the school does not arise at present and will be dealt with at the appropriate time.

Question No. 106 postponed.
