Vol. 317 No. 9

Written Answers. - Information on Grants and Assistance.

128.

asked the Minister for Economic Planning and Development if he will outline the policy of his Department to assist members of the public to avail of any grants and assistance available from his Department and the procedures used towards this end.

Grants administered by my Department come from two sources—the Special Regional Development Fund and the Dublin Inner City Fund. Applicants for grant assistance from these funds will get all the advice and help that they need to prepare their applications. In the case of the Special Regional Development Fund, which applies only to the western counties, this advice and help is provided by the local County Development Officer, who is an official of my Department seconded to the County Development Team. The Department will deal directly with applicants for grants from the Dublin Inner City Group Fund.
