Vol. 318 No. 1

Written Answers. - Running of Cork School.

536.

asked the Minister for Education in view of the failure of his Department to maintain the Cork Youth Encounter Project School at Infirmary Road, Cork, if he will agree that the running of this school will be now passed to the Southern Health Board, who are already running a similar and successful project at Mayfield, Cork.

A decision to close this school was taken by the local board of management and accepted by my Department. The school was closed as from 30 September 1979. The matter of its reopening is being considered and the question of transferring it to any other agency has not arisen.
