Vol. 318 No. 1

Written Answers. - Meath Pension Application.

560.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare when an old age contributory pension will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Meath, who applied two years ago.

A claim for a contributory old age pension was received from the person concerned on 27 September 1979. There is no record of an earlier claim having been received from him. Unfortunately, he furnished an incorrect insurance number on his claim form and no reply was received to inquiries addressed to him asking for his correct insurance number. In the meantime the records of my Department were researched and his insurance record was eventually traced.

He has since been awarded a pension of £18.35 per week from 29 June 1979, increased to £19.35 per week from 5 October 1979. A pension book at the rate of £19.35 was issued to Drogheda post office for collection by him, and a payable order in respect of arrears of pension amounting to £508.45 has also been issued.
