Vol. 318 No. 1

Written Answers. - Telephone Service.

580.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for an applicant (details supplied) in County Meath.

It is expected that terms will be quoted to this applicant within the next month or so.

Service is normally provided within three months of the signing of an agreement.

581.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will provide a telephone kiosk at Clogagh, Clonakilty, County Cork in view of the local demands for same.

The use likely to be made of a telephone kiosk at Clogagh would not be sufficient to warrant its provision and it is not proposed therefore to provide one there at present.

582.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the current number of applications for telephone service in the Corbawn development, Shankill, County Dublin; and when the latest such applicants will be provided with telephone service.

The number is 132.

It is planned to provide service for all these applicants following the completion of the necessary cabling scheme in the second half of 1980.
