asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism if he is aware that a reply to a parliamentary question on 26 July 1973 regarding the issue of duty-free licences for cabinet type gas heaters stated that 10,000 heaters of 50,000 BTU and 5,000 heaters of 20,000 BTU received duty-free licences despite the fact that cabinettype gas heaters are not manufactured above a range of 16,000 BTU, and if he will make a statement on the matter.

asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism if he has satisfied himself that information contained in a reply to a parliamentary question on 26 July 1973 contains the full list of duty-free licences granted to cabinet type gas heaters for the period in question and if he will make a statement on the matter.

After the lapse of so many years since the question was answered it is not possible to comment at this stage, on the basis of available records, on the completeness or coverage of the reply referred to.
