The figures requested by the Deputy are: 1977——37 per cent; 1978——38 per cent; 1979 (estimated)——51 per cent.
The above figures take account of foreign currency borrowings by the Exchequer and State bodies as well as sales of Government securities denominated in Irish pounds to non-residents.
