Meath County Council have sought my sanction to the proposal mentioned in the Deputy's question. The proposed scheme includes a health centre, the planning and financing of which is a matter for the North Eastern Health Board.
In accordance with the normal procedure, the plans for the library portion of the proposed centre were sent for approval to an Chomhairle Leabharlanna by the county council in November 1979. When the recommendation of an chomhairle is received, I will be in a position to consider the loan application for the library part of the Dunboyne scheme in the context of the capital available for library projects generally.
