Vol. 318 No. 9

Written Answers. - Food Aid Convention Contribution.

50.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason the provision for Ireland's contribution to the Food Aid Convention under the International Wheat Agreement has been substantially reduced this year.

While the provision in the Estimates for 1980 (£370,000) shows a reduction on the 1979 provision, the total sum available for the discharge of our commitment will in fact be £504,000 when account is taken of an export refund of £134,000 due on a previous consignment and already received.
