A new house grant of £250 was allocated in this case under the former scheme of grants on 31 August 1973. An instalment of £125 was paid on 29 August 1975. Under section 23 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act. 1979, the latest date for claims for payment of grants allocated under the former scheme of grants was 31 January 1980. As a claim for payment of the balance of the grant in this case was not received by that date, I regret that payment cannot now be made.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a reconstruction grant has been sanctioned for a person (details supplied) in County Dublin, if so, when sanction was given and the moneys paid.
A house improvement grant of £600 has been approved for the person mentioned. The grant will be paid when the Department is notified that the work has been completed and it is established by inspection that payment is in order.

There is no record in my Department of an application for a house improvement grant from the person mentioned.
