Vol. 318 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Glenamaddy (Galway) Old People's Home.

20.

asked the Minister for Health the proposals, if any, for the erection of an old people's home at Glenamaddy, County Galway.

Glenamaddy is not included in the current plans of the Western Health Board as a location for a home for old people. However, the health board are at present considering the possibility of providing special facilities in Glenamaddy for the care of the elderly. The special hospitals standing committee of the board is also examining the need for a home in the North-East Galway/Roscommon area.
