asked the Minister for Defence if he will give the following information in respect of each prototype, and each production model of the Timoney APC acquired by his Department, with details of its manufacturers/ serial number, registration number or other distinguishing features: (a) delivery date of each vehicle, (b) the mileage of each vehicle from date of delivery to date, (c) the number of hours of tests carried out by the military authorities on each of the vehicles, (d) the present condition of each vehicle, if it is operational, or under repair, (e) the cost of each vehicle, (f) the details of each occasion the vehicles have been demonstrated, loaned or exported abroad, and (g) the total cost of the programme to date, including development costs.

In regard to the contract for the supply of five Timoney armoured personnel carriers, it would be contrary to established practice to disclose the contract prices of the vehicles or the total cost of the contract.
