Vol. 320 No. 1

Written Answers. - Irish Epilepsy Association.

213.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will allow representatives of the Irish Epilepsy Association to talk to all groups of Garda trainees to instruct them on how to deal with epileptics.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the lectures on first-aid which are given to recruit gardaí as part of their training at the Garda Training Centre include first-aid treatment for epileptics. If the Irish Epilepsy Association wish to give talks to the recruit gardaí, as they did on one occasion in 1978, they might get in touch with the Training Officer in Templemore.
