asked the Minister for Justice the amount of money stolen in raids on banks and post offices in (a) the last six months, (b) the last year and (c) the last two years.

The amount of money stolen in raids on banks and post offices over the period 1 October 1979 to 31 March 1980 was £183,878. The figures for the calendar years 1979 and 1978 were £649,196 and £756,241 respectively.
