Vol. 320 No. 1

Written Answers. - Old Age Pension.

266.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the reasons for the delay in the payment of a non-contributory old age pension to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry and when payment will issue.

The claimant in this case reached pension age on the 20 February 1980 and made a claim on the 29 February 1980. The social welfare officer who is investigating the claim and who has visited the claimant about it is waiting for the receipt of certain information from him about his means. As soon as he receives this he will refer the case immediately for decision to the local pension committee.
