Vol. 320 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - St. Stephen's Green.

44.

asked the Minister for Finance if his attention has been drawn to press reports that No. 124 St. Stephen's Green, the house in which Robert Emmet was born, is to be demolished and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am aware of a press report appearing some time ago regarding this house. The house at No. 124 St. Stephen's Green was not, according to reliable historic records available to me, the birthplace of the patriot Robert Emmet. I understand that this house is not listed for preservation in the Dublin Corporation's development plan.
