Vol. 320 No. 5

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 4, 8 (Resumed), 9, 10 (resumed), 11 and 12 (resumed). Business will be interrupted at 6 p.m. to take item No. 12 and the order will be resumed thereafter. Private Members' Business from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. will be item No. 73 by agreement.

Is it intended to introduce legislation giving effect to the report of the Dáil constituencies boundary commission before the Dáil adjourns for the summer recess?

I am not sure exactly what the constraints on us are, but we will have it before the House as quickly as possible.

We will not constrain the Taoiseach.

As I have already explained to Deputies on the other side of the House, we do not seek the slightest advantage from this revision because we have no need for it.

It is in everyone's interest to have it finalised.

I wish to raise on the Adjournment the serious position regarding the imminent closure of the Lough Swilly railway in County Donegal.

I will communicate with the Deputy.

I wish to raise on the Adjournment the situation regarding trials in the High Court and the length of time it takes for people's applications to be heard—sometimes 20 months. I also wish to raise on the Adjournment bank interest rates and the continuing effect they are having on business, and the remarks made by the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism.

Is the Deputy expressing a preference for one or the other?

So far as I am aware it is in your hands.

Right. I will communicate with the Deputy.
