Vol. 321 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Agriculture Offices in Tipperary Town.

34.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware of the urgent need to provide additional accommodation to meet the needs of his Department's office in Tipperary town; and if he will indicate the action he has taken in the matter.

The Office of Public Works have for some time past been seeking to accommodate all my Department's staff in Tipperary town in a single suitable office there. So far this has not been found possible but the search for a suitable building is continuing. In the meantime, to relieve immediate pressure in the office, the OPW recently acquired additional office space at a second location in the town and a number of staff were transferred there last April. Some further rooms are currently being examined with a view to possible acquisition for use by the Tipperary staff.

Question No. 35 for written reply.
