Vol. 321 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Unemployment Benefit Payments.

67.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he is aware that 22 redundant employees of a company (details supplied) in County Galway, in which it is understood Údarás na Gaeltachta own a considerable share, are experiencing considerable delay and difficulties in obtaining unemployment benefit; and the arrangements being made to epedite the payment of unemployment benefit to these persons.

Only nine claims for unemployment benefit from former employees of the company in question can be identified from the records of my Department. All unemployment benefit due to the persons concerned has been paid.
