Vol. 321 No. 11

Business of Dáil.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to raise on the adjournment of the Dáil today the subject matter of Questions Nos. 63 and 31 on yesterday's Order Paper.

I will communicate with the Deputy.

I would like to raise on the adjournment a matter which I have brought up a number of times. In The Cork Examiner this morning there was an account of a meeting yesterday in Youghal in which the Minister for Transport replied to members of his own party that he will have the matter of the withdrawal of the train service for the summer season looked into. I have been told on a number of occasions in this House when I tried to bring the matter up that the Minister had no function in relation to CIE. But if he can have it discussed and give undertakings to members of his own party he should certainly be able to give them to the elected members of the public. I would like to raise this matter on the adjournment.

I will communicate with the Deputy.
